Chris Campbell, for whom Project Campbell’s Call is named, was a U.S. Navy SEAL who was killed in a helicopter crash on August 6, 2011 while serving in Afghanistan. Before his death, Campbell included a note with his will, stating a wish for 100,000 people to donate to Wounded Warrior Project®.
Endurance athlete Nels Matson is attempting to break the world record for fastest run across the country, which currently sits at 42 days, 6 hours, and 30 minutes. On August 30, 2022 at San Francisco City Hall, Matson will begin his 3,067 mile trek across the United States in honor of Project Campbell’s Call.
Just over 30,000 people have donated to WWP in Chris’ memory. His last request was selfless and honorable. Let’s help him cross the finish line and meet this goal that defies death and inspires life. Your donation (of any amount) will go towards accomplishing Chris Campbell’s FINAL mission.
